Lovely hotel but certainly not 5 star.
This is a beautiful looking hotel. Outside the gardens are immaculately kept and the pool area is fabulous. The reception/lobby area is lovely with what felt like an Egyptian theme. Our room was nice. The bed was comfortable and the room had the facilities of a standard nice hotel. The aircon in our room was very good. Mini bar and kettle etc. We also had a small private patio area. I wouldn't agree however that this hotel is 5 star. It is a nice 3 star hotel in my opinion. It's a lovely hotel but missing a beat with some things: - The hot water was luke warm at best. It was like this for our entire stay. The shower also leaked terribly out onto the floor and we had to use 3 towels to clean up after every shower. - The breakfast had no options for people with allergies. There were only apples and apricots. No other fruit available. The breakfast is limited and not 5 star choice. - The location of the hotel is not great. A lot of derelict buildings in the area and we didn't feel safe to walk around the area at night. If staying at this hotel - rent a car! On a positive note we parked our rental car out on the street and it was fine. Also, the hotel lock their gates once dark so this provides some comfort as regards safety at night. - Our room was at the end of the hallway and so the wifi didn't seem to reach our room. It only worked a few times for us. - There was 1 English Breakfast Teabag beside our kettle. The cleaner did not replace it either so I had 1 cup of tea in the room. A simple error but I expect better of an apparent 5 star hotel. So overall, the hotel is nice but not 5 star. Little things need improvement.
Cold water was the most uncomfortable thing about our stay and limited options for breakfast.
